Rates 2012

• Rates are:
  • quoted, invoiced and payable in ZAR
  • quoted per adult sharing per night
  • subject to a 50% supplement for rooms occupied by one adult
  • inclusive of all meals, two games drives, selected beverages, tourism levy and 14% Vat
  • subject to change without prior notice
• Additional compulsory charges (subject to change without prior notice):
  • Gate/entrance/conservation fee of R45.00 per person, payable upon entrance to Kruger National Park
  • Passenger/Airport tax of R90.00 per person, payable upon arrival at Skukuza airstrip – applicable when flying into Skukuza
• We recommend a minimum stay of two nights throughout the year

Children Policy

• This policy applies to all persons from 0 up to and including 11 years old
• Persons from 12 years and older are considered as adults and will therefore require their own room at the applicable rates
• Persons under the age of 12 years are not permitted on any walking safaris
• Little Jock can accommodate a maximum of six adults and four children sharing in three rooms
• Child rates are
  • applicable whether children share a room with adults or not
  • inclusive of meals, non alcoholic beverages, activities (age dependant) and the “Kids on Safari” program
• 0 – 3 Year old
  • are accommodated at no additional cost
  • may share with adults, depending on the availability of cots and/or rooms with a sleeper couch
  • are not permitted on game drives
• 4 – 11 Year old
  • are accommodated at 50% (half) of the adult sharing rate
  • may share with adults, depending on the availability of rooms with an sleeper couch
  • are permitted on game drives
• Sleeper couches can accommodate a maximum of one child each (7 and older) OR two children per couch (0 - 6 years)
• Cots can accommodate a maximum of one child per cot
• Rooms accommodating children sharing with parents contains one sleeper couch per room
• Game drives for children younger than 6 years old are conducted in closed vehicles as per the rules and regulations of Kruger National Park
• Child minding are done by lodge staff and can be arranged at an additional cost

Insurance

• We highly recommend that travel insurance is taken out

Transfers / Gate Times

• Transfers can be arranged with reservations on request at additional costs
• All transfers are handled by accredited car hire and charter companies
• All transfers must be arranged prior to arrival
• Federal Air charter flights between Johannesburg and Skukuza airstrip
  • Inclusive of a road transfers between Skukuza airstrip and the lodge on the basis that the Federal Air flights are booked with Central Reservations
• Self drive and road transfers from Kruger Mpumalanga Airport (KMIA/MQP) are subject to Kruger National Park gate times
  • The Kruger National park prohibits the use of roads within the park once the gates are closed; therefore guests need to be at their destination and transfer companies must be outside the park by the time the gates close
  • Jock Safari Lodge is approximately one (1) hour from the Malelane Gate and therefore we recommend that flights to / from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA/MQP) are booked to:
    • arrive at KMIA/MQP no later than 14h30 on day of arrival
    • depart from KMIA/MQP no earlier than 10h00 on day of departure
  • No alternative arrangements can be made

Payment

• 25% Deposit will be required within 14 days of reservation being made
• Balance will be required 30 days prior to arrival
• Full pre payment will be required at the time of booking for reservations made within 30 days of arrival

Cancellations

Peak Season (20 December – 10 January)

• Only written cancellations will be accepted. Ensure to receive an acknowledgment of cancellations from reservations
• 50% of fee if cancellation less than 60 days prior to arrival
• 100% of fee if cancellation less than 30 days prior to arrival

General

• Only written cancellations will be accepted. Ensure to receive an acknowledgment of cancellations from reservations
• 25% of fee if cancellation less than 30 days prior to arrival
• 50% of fee if cancellation less than 15 days prior to arrival
• 100% of fee if cancellation less than 7 days prior to arrival

Group/Conference: Deposit, Payment and Cancellation

• Policy applies to bookings of eight (8) or more people
• A minimum of a 2 night stay applies through out the year
• A 10% non-refundable deposit may be requested at the time of booking in order to secure rooms, depending on the size of the group
• A 50% non-refundable deposit is payable 90 days prior to arrival
• A 100% non-refundable payment 60 days prior to arrival
• Every 16^th person confirmed will be free of charge, inclusive of all meals, game drives and selected beverages
