Rates 2014

• All rates are quoted and invoiced in South African Rand (ZAR) on “per person per night” basis.
• Adults travelling:
  • Adult rates apply to persons (10 years and older) sharing one tent. Persons 10 years and older are considered adults and will therefore require their own tent at the applicable rates.
  • Single rates are only applicable when one adult is staying by him/herself in one tent. Not applicable when an adult is sharing with a child.
  • Note that all tents can sleep a maximum of two adults.
  • Above mentioned rates are inclusive of breakfast, lunch, dinner, game drives, guided walks, tea, coffee, water, game drive beverages, welcome lounge transfers at set times, tourism levy and 14% Vat (all other beverages are excluded and can be settled upon departure).
  • Persons under the age of 16 years are not permitted on any walking safaris.
• Children travelling:
  • Child rates are applicable to children from 6 years up to and including 9 years; irrespective of whether children are sharing with an adult or staying in their own tent (single or sharing). 0 to 6 year olds are regrettably not allowed at Nkomazi Game Reserve due to safety regulations.
  • Above mentioned rates are inclusive of breakfast, lunch, dinner, game drives, tea, coffee, water, game drive beverages, welcome lounge transfers at set times, tourism levy and 14% Vat (all other beverages are excluded and can be settled upon departure).
  • Persons under the age of 16 years are not permitted on any walking safaris.
• All rates are subject to change without prior notice.
• We recommend a minimum stay of two nights throughout the year.

Children Policy

• This policy applies to all persons from 6 up to and including 9 years old.
• Persons under the age of 16 years are not permitted on any walking safaris.
• 6 – 9 Year old
  • are accommodated at 50% (half) of the adult sharing rate.
  • are accommodated in their own tent.
  • are permitted on game drives.
• Child minding service is available upon request and can be arranged at an additional cost.

Travel Information

Insurance

• We highly recommend that travel insurance is taken out.

Transfers / Gate Times

• Transfers can be arranged with reservations on request at an additional cost.
• All transfers are handled by accredited car hire and charter companies.
• All transfers must be arranged prior to arrival.
• The road from the gate to the lodge is not accessible by normal or 4x4 vehicles and therefore guests are transferred from the welcoming lounge (situated at the gate) to the lodge as follows:
  • arriving guests will be picked up from the welcoming lounge at 13h00.
  • departing guests will depart the lodge at 11h00 to arrive back at the welcoming lounge at 11h20.
  • transfers at alternative times can be requested at an additional fee and must be booked prior to arrival.

Payment

• 25% Deposit will be required within 14 days of the reservation being made.
• Balance will be required 30 days prior to arrival.
• Full pre payment will be required at the time of booking for reservations made within 30 days of arrival.

Cancellations

• Only written cancellations will be accepted; please ensure you receive an acknowledgment of cancellation from reservations.
• 25% of fee if cancellation is less than 30 days prior to arrival.
• 50% of fee if cancellation is less than 15 days prior to arrival.
• 100% of fee if cancellation is less than 7 days prior to arrival.

Group Deposit, Payment and Cancellation

• Policy applies to bookings of eight (8) or more people.
• A minimum stay of two nights applies throughout the year.
• A 10% non-refundable deposit may be requested at the time of booking in order to secure rooms, depending on the size of the group.
• A 50% non-refundable deposit is payable 90 days prior to arrival.
• A 100% non-refundable payment 60 days prior to arrival.
