Designed to fit harmoniously within its beautiful natural surroundings, Nyungwe offers guests exceptional 5-star comfort and ensures an experience rich in local culture, fluently fused with quality service and African courtesy. The lodge is situated in the Gisakura working tea plantation, on the edge of the Nyungwe National Park, East Africa’s largest protected high altitude rainforest and the largest tract of mountain rain forest on the African continent.

The lodge offers 20 luxury rooms (sleeping 2 persons each), 1 two bedroom suite (sleeping up to 4 persons) and 1 presidential suite with a Jacuzzi (sleeping up to 4 persons).

- quoted, invoiced and payable in US Dollars

Children Policy

This policy applies to all persons from 0 up to and including 11 years old.
Persons from 12 years and older are considered as adults and will therefore require their own room at the applicable adult rates
Persons under the age of 15 years are not permitted on Chimpanzee Trekking

Children rates are
- applicable whether children share a room with adults or not

inclusive of breakfast, lunch, dinner, soft drinks, water and 18% Vat

0 – 3 Year old
- are accommodated at no additional cost
- may share with adults, depending on the availability of cots
4 – 11 Year old
- are accommodated at 50% (half) of the adult sharing rate
- are accommodated in their own bed
Cots can accommodate a maximum of one child per cot
Child minding are done by lodge staff and can be arranged at an additional cost, by prior arrangement only

Insurance

We highly recommend that travel insurance is taken out

Visa / Passports

· Nationals from the East African Community, Democratic Republic of Congo, South Africa, United States of America, Germany, Mauritius, Great Britain, Sweden, and Hong Kong may visit Rwanda without a visa for a period of up to 90 days

· If there is no Rwandan Embassy or Mission in your vicinity, a visa can be requested online on http://www.migration.gov.rw/

Currency

· Rwanda’s local currency is Rwandan Franc (RWF), but US dollar (USD) is widely accepted. The lodge accepts cash payments in USD and RWF

· Only VISA Credit card facilities are available and processed in USD

Transfers

Transfers can be arranged with reservations on request at additional costs
All transfers are handled by accredited car hire companies

Payment

25% Deposit will be required within 14 days of reservation being made
Balance will be required 30 days prior to arrival
Full pre payment will be required at the time of booking for reservations made within 30 days of arrival

Cancellations

Peak Season (01 July – 31 October)

Only written cancellations will be accepted. Ensure to receive an acknowledgment of cancellations from reservations
50% of fee if cancellation less than 60 days prior to arrival
100% of fee if cancellation less than 30 days prior to arrival

General

Only written cancellations will be accepted. Ensure to receive an acknowledgment of cancellations from reservations
25% of fee if cancellation less than 30 days prior to arrival
50% of fee if cancellation less than 15 days prior to arrival
100% of fee if cancellation less than 7 days prior to arrival

Group/Conference: Deposit, Payment and Cancellation

· Policy applies to bookings of eight (8) or more people

· A minimum of a 2 night stay applies throughout the year

A 10% non-refundable deposit may be requested at the time of booking in order to secure rooms, depending on the size of the group
A 50% non-refundable deposit is payable 90 days prior to arrival
A 100% non-refundable payment 60 days prior to arrival
