GM - Jock Safari Lodge
Every now and then I get called upon to take guests out on Safari due to a Ranger not being able to guide. In my early days in the Industry, working in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve and Botswana, this was a daily duty but I've hung up my guiding boots since then.
This past weekend was one of those occasions when I was needed to guide and although I was a bit worried that I would be a little "rusty" it was awesome out in the bush. We had terrific sightings of all of the Big 5, Wild Dog and all of my other favourite animals and birds. The guests were blown away by the variety of wildlife and the scenic beauty of the Kruger National Park.
Now if it was not for getting up every morning at 4am to get my vehicle and coffee basket ready, I would apply for the next Ranger position at Jock Safari Lodge!
